Pacific Place Office Building – LEED Platinum OM Gets a Modern Makeover: A Renovation Triumph by GI Contracting

GI Contracting has successfully completed the full renovation of the public zones at Pacific Place, a Grade A office tower renowned for its LEED Platinum certification in Building Operations and Maintenance. This milestone project showcases GI’s exceptional execution capability in the most complex of environments — one that remains fully operational throughout construction.

The scope of work encompassed all major shared areas: the main and secondary lobbies, washroom clusters, and communal amenities — high-traffic spaces demanding the highest standards of aesthetics, hygiene, and user comfort. The renovation was carried out without altering the structural frame: instead, GI expertly stripped away outdated finishes and “dressed” the spaces in a brand-new, elegant architectural skin, bringing modernity while ensuring long-term durability and sustainability.

The most formidable challenge? Operations continuity. With office tenants conducting business as usual, construction had to meet strict LEED Platinum requirements for noise, dust, waste, and odor control. GI responded with precision: staging work in discreet phases, implementing overnight construction schedules, and deploying specialized machinery and methods to minimize disruption to near-zero levels.

The result is a completely rejuvenated public environment that is sleek, user-friendly, and aligned with global standards — delivered on time and with zero impact to ongoing operations. More than a renovation, this project is a testament to GI Contracting’s elite project management, technical agility, and commitment to excellence in live-site commercial environments.

We sincerely thank Mapletree, the property owner, for their trust and close collaboration — a driving force and invaluable support that enabled this project’s success.
